Hello my name is Kim Duff, I created 3 figures that each represent a different part of women’s history and show a visual timeline of how women have grown in society. My first model portrays a Victorian housewife who is suppressed inside the house that confines her personality and growth, she is chained to her housework and family duties, the second is a fighting Suffragette woman she is in jail because of her rioting actions but is still fighting for women to have rights and free views in society.
The third and final model shows a 1920s Flapper style girl who is now free to dance and has the confidence to show herself off because she has the right to do so after the Suffragettes won their long battle.
These three models have been accepted into the Peoples History Museum as part of the ’Wonder Women’ exhibition and will be placed into the entrance area of the building.
