This photo is of the day I came home from hospital with my Nana when I was eight weeks old.
My Nana has been an inspiration to me because she brought me up even when things were hard. She brought me up to be respectful and kept me away from the dark things in my family until I was old enough to understand. I’m glad they didn’t let me go into the care system because I could’ve ended up anywhere so I thank her for adopting me even when she had three generations of children to bring up. I will always remember that even if your parents that bring you up are not your biological parents they ARE are your parents, no matter what. You are still a family.
My Nana was a strong woman and helped me be strong too, so I promise to help and inspire others even when things are really hard because I owe it to my Nana.
