Hello, I’m Jenny Gaskell and my deed is all about dating traditions between  men and women.

Whenever I go out for dinner with a chap (not often, I’m not a total stud or anything), I always insist on going Dutch (splitting the bill).

I’m not the sort of person who feels patronised or wary if a someone offers to buy me dinner – I’m a big fan of food so anyone offering to feed me is a hero in my eyes.  I recognise that this is normally a generous act & a sign of somebody trying to be a nice person.  I just think it’s a little unfair on the heterosexual guys of the world to be made to feel that they are expected to foot the bill.  I think if I was a guy, I’d get pretty annoyed with this assumption…

Ladies: don’t be stingy, get your card out.
