My daughter is six and a half years old (the half is very important).
She has been a huge fan of Star Wars since she was old enough to watch the films.
Despite introducing strong female characters in the newer films and cartoons, they never feature on any merchandise. Most Star Wars merchandise is aimed at boys.
My daughter is happy to wear t-shirts bought in the boys department, but I wanted her to have a t-shirt aimed at her.
So I made her this (see picture).
For those with less knowledge of Star Wars than my daughter, this t-shirt features Ashoka, a female Jedi and one of the lead characters from the Clone Wars film and tv cartoon series.
Due to copyright of course this is a one-off print, especially for my daughter.
I plan to create a range of scifi/superhero t-shirts that my daughter and many girls like her would love to wear.
