My deed was donating to my friend Tim’s everyday hero page, he himself is doing a deed by running a marathon later this year.
Tim is a single Dad and he is running the Gold Coast Marathon for Dad’s in Distress. Dads in Distress is a dedicated support group for men whose immediate concern is to stem the present trend of male suicide due to the trauma of divorce or separation.
Not only is it a worthy cause but it highlight’s how far we have come in gender equality and accepting that yes men do need help and support and it’s great that we now live in society where this is readily available. However, we need to keep this up and charities like this need continued support.
