My deed, performed today Monday 12th May 2013, is to go into university and work on my PhD thesis.
Where I will ponder for the millionth time why there aren’t more women in philosophy, why my mere presence as the frequently only woman in the room feels like/is a political act, and how totally unfair it is that my academic career will benefit where other women’s will suffer, purely because I don’t happen want to have children.
